future. I am pleased and relieved, considering the current economic
environment, that 2008 was a great year for Waypoint Consulting. I
believe this proves that assembling a team of quality people can help overcome
what some may view as daunting challenges.
The year 2008 brought many new clients, new employees and new technologies
released by our partners. Waypoint Consulting continued to expand upon
our expertise in Hyperion, Oracle BI (OBIEE) and Cognos toolsets with strong
success stories for name brand clients in the region. I value the special
relationship with every one of our clients and thank them for their commitment
to Waypoint Consulting. We look forward to working with you in 2009.
The concern of most clients and partners is the state of the
economy. We too had some clients cut back on projects this year due
to massive budget cuts. Thankfully, we are in the fortunate position of
having secured long term contracts and projects. We are confident in our
“diversified” pipeline; therefore we have a slightly different take on the
economic environment. This is an excellent time to grow our staff with
high quality individuals who typically would not look for a new job. Of
note are two hires in Q4 of outstanding consultants who will make excellent
contributions to our team.
Finally, I would like to thank all of our dedicated consultants who make
work so enjoyable and successful. Without your professionalism and
dedication to our clients’ success we would not be in this fortunate
position. Happy holidays and much success in 2009.
