Waypoint joins top consulting, accounting firm Wipfli to expand services

Waypoint announced today that its principals and associates have joined Wipfli, a top 20 accounting and consulting firm, effective February 11.

“We are excited to join Wipfli to offer our clients more holistic solutions,” said Brendan McGuire, managing partner at Waypoint. “Wipfli believes, like us, that data is critical to guiding clients to their unique destination. Together, we can keep our clients moving forward into the future while minimizing risk and maximizing revenues.”

Similar to Waypoint, Wipfli has specialized knowledge in the healthcare and financial services industries. But Wipfli also focuses on providing special services for manufacturing, governments, private equity, financial services, tribal gaming and government, agribusiness and dealerships.

The combination will also allow Waypoint clients to grow their organizations with Wipfli’s technology, digital transformation, business intelligence and software solutions. Wipfli also adds expanded capabilities in cloud computing, ERP solutions and outsourced accounting.

Wipfli Managing Partner Kurt Gresens says the move will expand Wipfli’s footprint even deeper in Philadelphia, while adding more data analytics and cybersecurity knowledge to Wipfli.

“We are excited to welcome Waypoint’s team,” Gresens said. “Together, our teams will be able to better manage and utilize data to make proactive and strategic decisions.”

Wipfli was founded in 1930 and is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This is the first firm that has combined with Wipfli this year and the twelfth in the past three years. With Waypoint’s team, Wipfli now has more than 3,100 associates and 100,000 clients.
